Ten years after she debuted at the Ryman opening for Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris came back to play her whole first album front to back. Her girlfriend joined her onstage. Her ex-husband, and the father of their son, watched from the crowd.
Morris played the full HERO album front-to-back for the first time at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on August 15, a sold-out one-night-only show marking a decade since the record that broke her out with “My Church” and “80s Mercedes.”

Cassadee Pope was one of the guest performers. The two country singers hard-launched their relationship in early July 2026, sharing a kissing photo captioned “she won’t go out with you because she’s out with me, silly.” Michelle Branch also joined the bill.

Ryan Hurd, whom Morris divorced in early 2024 after five years of marriage, was in the audience. The two co-parent 6-year-old son Hayes, live near each other around Nashville, and recently recorded together again for the album’s reissue.

Morris came out as bisexual in June 2024, after the split. She’s called the Ryman night a homecoming and signaled it caps a run of touring as she turns toward writing and time with her son.
