Susan Dell stood in the Oval Office on October 7 to promote “Trump Accounts,” the tax-advantaged investment accounts for eligible children that she and her husband, Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, pledged $6.25 billion toward in December 2025. She spoke about letters she’s received from families and the value of children knowing someone believes in their futures. Trump joked about whether she might run for office and offered his “complete and total endorsement.”
Online, almost none of that was the story.

Within hours, clips and photos from the appearance spread on X, usually paired with pictures of Dell from the 2000s. The commentary fixated on her face: a tighter, tauter look, a wider eye area, heavy eyeliner and defined brows, blonde hair and a red dress. Users speculated about cosmetic procedures, cracked AI and clone jokes, posted before-and-after comparisons, and tied her to the informal “Mar-a-Lago face” label used for the polished, enhanced look associated with Trump’s Palm Beach circle.

Plastic surgeons quoted in coverage, including Dr. Ross Perry, Dr. Gerard Lambe and Dr. Shervin Naderi, offered photo-based guesses at what might contribute to the change, from a facelift to eyelid surgery, fillers, fat transfer or Botox. All of them stressed the same thing: it’s guesswork without an in-person exam. Some outlets floated multi-procedure cost estimates in the tens of thousands of dollars, which are estimates, not confirmed spending.

Dell has never publicly confirmed or addressed any procedure, and there’s no verified medical evidence in public reporting. Differences in photos can come from aging, weight changes, lighting, makeup, angles or styling.

The record underneath the meme is a philanthropist who co-founded the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in 1999 and has spent decades funding education and health programs for children, work that includes Dell Children’s Medical Center, Dell Medical School at UT Austin and leadership of the $100 million Rebuild Texas Fund after Hurricane Harvey.
