Kylie Jenner wants marriage to be part of her future with Timothée Chalamet, but an insider says the actor’s commitment to their relationship hasn’t translated into readiness for an engagement.
Jenner, 29, and Chalamet, 30, began dating in 2023. A source says she’s made her hopes clear: “She’s not giving him ultimatums or demanding a ring, but she’s definitely making her feelings known and hoping he’ll get there sooner rather than later.”
The insider describes Chalamet as invested in the relationship while feeling pressure to propose. “There’s a feeling that if he were to propose anytime soon, it would be more because of the pressure he’s feeling rather than because he’s genuinely ready,” the source said.
The report also claims Jenner’s frustration involves her sister Kendall Jenner, 30, who’s recently been romantically linked to Jacob Elordi, 29. An insider says the possibility of Kendall getting engaged first bothers Kylie, given how much longer she’s been with Chalamet. The source describes Elordi as “completely all in with Kendall” and Kylie and Chalamet as having “a more fun and carefree dynamic.”
Kendall and Elordi attended the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, where he took photographs of her as she posed for photographers. They also spent time together at the gala and its after-party.
Chalamet has publicly expressed his commitment to Kylie. In January, accepting the Critics Choice Award for best actor for Marty Supreme, he said: “And lastly, I’ll just say thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
He also thanked her during his Golden Globe acceptance speech for the same film. They attended the BAFTA Film Awards together in London in February, and he supported her at her Victoria’s Secret runway debut this month, when she wore the brand’s Fantasy Bra.
