Chris Pratt says prayer frames his days as he raises 4 children, including 14-year-old Jack, whose mother, Anna Faris, has been challenging him about abortion and religious hypocrisy.
“My faith is how I start my day, it’s how I end my day. It’s the most important thing that I’ll be able to pass on to my kids,” Pratt said in a new interview.
Pratt shares Jack with ex-wife Faris and has 3 younger children with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger: Lyla, 6, Eloise, 4, and Ford, 23 months.

His faith is tied to Jack’s premature birth in 2012. In a December 2025 essay, Pratt described praying while his son fought to survive: “I promised that if Jack survived, I would devote my life to sharing God’s message. This time I meant it.”
Faris described her own conversations with Jack during an August appearance on the Dear Chelsea podcast. She called him “solid as a tugboat” and said she challenges his views, including his position on abortion.
“I’m like, ‘Do you think it’s a luxury that you get to be pro-life? Do you think that’s kind of a luxury?’ He’s like, ‘Maybe’.”
She also asks him about religious leaders. Faris recalled asking, “So what do you think of this megapastor that’s kind of a grifter? What do you think?” She said Jack responded, “Oh, megapastors are the worst.”
“I’m appreciative that he’s examining religion the way he is in terms of recognising hypocrisy, starting to recognise hypocrisy, and I’m appreciative that we can have these long conversations,” Faris said.
