The Florida airport’s first arrival under its new name was Trump Force One, touching down at 5:01 a.m. The renaming will cost at least $5.5 million to swap out signage, branding, and terminal materials.

Palm Beach International Airport is now President Donald J. Trump International Airport, a change Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law back in March.
Hours earlier in Dandridge, Tennessee, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent helped pull a sheet off a green highway sign reading President Donald J. Trump Bridge. The span over the French Broad River near I-40 was previously the Francis Burnett Swann Memorial Bridge, renamed under a Tennessee law passed last year.
The Trump family trademarked the new airport name, with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approving the request on June 18. The airport code stays “PBI” until it flips to “DJT” on August 18.
“There is no person who has done more for Florida and our country, and no one more deserving of this incredible honor,” Eric Trump wrote on X, noting he flies out of the airport nearly every day.

Trump’s name went up in both states weeks after a federal judge ordered every reference to him stripped from the Kennedy Center in Washington, ending a court battle that started when his name was added there in December.
