A Woman with Cancer Apologized to Rihanna for Not Wearing Her Wig. Rihanna Wasn’t Having It

A woman living with cancer stopped Rihanna in a Los Angeles grocery store, apologized for not wearing her wig, and asked for a photo anyway. Rihanna wasn’t having the apology.

Leaning in close, Rihanna shows Robin something on her phone amid the produce section, the two sharing a quiet moment before their hug.

“You don’t look terrible. You look great,” she told her. Then she pulled at her own hair. “This is what I look like with my wig.” She told the woman her bare hairline was the thing to live for. “Anytime you meet anybody, don’t do that sh*t. You’re fire just like that.”

The encounter happened at a Bristol Farms outside LA, filmed for media personality Jason Lee’s vlog. The woman goes by Robin. Rihanna clocked it herself: her real first name is Robyn, and she told her, “You’re a true Robyn.”

Robin asked if she could call her sometime. “Hell yeah,” Rihanna said. She asked if she could quote her. “Hell yeah.” Rihanna sent her off with “See you on the tour. Love you. Don’t ever do that again.”
