Taxpayers Won’t Fund UFC Freedom 250’s $60 Million White House Production, Dana White Says. TKO Expects to Lose $30 Million

UFC Freedom 250 is set for June 14, 2026, with seven fights on the South Lawn, a fan fest on the Ellipse, and a Zac Brown Band concert built around Trump’s 80th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Court filings from a failed lawsuit to block the event revealed the $60 million-plus figure. It covers a 4,300-seat temporary arena, an Octagon under an 87-foot canopy (raised at Dana White’s insistence so the White House stays in every TV shot), nine production trucks, up to 900 workers onsite since May 20, food for 4,000 South Lawn guests and more than 120,000 on the Ellipse, plus grass repairs.

White says the UFC and TKO Group are paying for production, labor, construction, and lawn restoration. “Taxpayers aren’t paying anything. We’re paying the bill,” he told reporters. At least seven federal agencies, including DHS and the FAA, are providing security, medical, and emergency support as part of standard White House operations for major events.

TKO President Mark Shapiro projects a loss of about $30 million and called the night “the greatest earned marketing tool of all time.” Million-dollar sponsorship packages with cageside seats and weigh-in access help offset the cost. None of that money goes to Trump.

Roughly 1,200 of the 4,300 seats are reserved for active military. The rest go to VIPs, sponsors, and celebrities including Adam Sandler, Tom Brady, Dwayne Johnson, Jared Leto, and Jason Statham. No tickets are being sold to the public.

The headline card has Ilia Topuria defending the lightweight title against Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira facing Ciryl Gane for an interim heavyweight belt, and Sean O’Malley against Aiemann Zahabi. Paramount+ carries the broadcast at 8 PM ET.

A lawsuit from the Public Integrity Project tried to block the event, arguing the grounds were being used for a for-profit private activity. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta rejected it. White’s response: “WE ARE FIGHTING ON SUNDAY NIGHT IN THE WHITE HOUSE LAWN NO MATTER WHAT.”
