Today, Congressman Ro Khanna (CA-17) said he wants to hold everyone accountable who was involved with Epstein. His statement is going viral on social media right now. Here is what he said:
Mr. Speaker, Thomas Massie and my Epstein Transparency Act led to millions of files being released that have shocked the conscience of the nation.
Today, I call for Congress to hold hearings in front of the Oversight Committee with every single person who emailed about going to Epstein’s island.
They need to answer some basic questions:
Who [sexually assaulted] these underage girls from working-class families?
What did they see?
What did they know?
What did they participate in?
The American people are frustrated with the rich and powerful getting a different set of justice.
There cannot be two tiers of justice in America, and I will not rest until the people who committed these heinous crimes and this heinous behavior are held accountable.
Yesterday, Khanna also sent a formal letter (dated February 8, 2026) to Oversight Chairman James Comer ahead of Maxwell’s scheduled deposition.
In the letter, he says he understands Maxwell plans to invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to answer substantive questions. He argues that approach is inconsistent with her prior conduct, noting she previously met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to discuss related subject matter without invoking the Fifth. He also raises concern that she may try to take a “blanket” Fifth by reading a prepared statement and then refusing to answer questions on a question-by-question basis. To lock down the scope, he asks Comer to confirm whether Maxwell intends to invoke the Fifth specifically in response to the questions he’s submitting, and he requests the letter be entered into the official record at the start of the deposition.

And this is what happened today: During her closed-door virtual deposition before the House Oversight Committee, Ghislaine Maxwell invoked the Fifth Amendment and refused to answer questions about the men who sexually abused underage girls, with her attorney suggesting she’d only speak fully and honestly in exchange for clemency from President Trump.
