These couples are truly perfect for each other. Here are six of the cutest couples in television history.
1. Amy Santiago and Jake Peralta (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
The top detectives of Brooklyn’s 99th precinct Amy Santiago and Jake Peralta go from enemies to lovers in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Starting as workplace rivals, the two embark on a crazy bet to see who can get the most felony arrests. If Amy wins, she gets Jake’s car. If Jake wins, he takes Amy on a fake date.
2. Monica and Chandler (Friends)
Unlike Ross and Rachel (derogatory), this Friends’ couple was actually healthy! The two were friends for years before they officially got together as a couple. In season four, Monica and Chandler start hooking up, taking their relationship from friends to lovers. They keep their relationship a secret from the rest of the group. Eventually, their love is revealed and the rest of the series showcases a beautiful relationship full of the natural highs and lows that come with one. And on a show where Ross and Rachel exist (I’m sorry, I just hate them together), Monica and Chandler show that true love is just as interesting, or even more so, than a will-they-won’t they, toxic couple.
3. Marshall and Lily (How I Met Your Mother)
Marshall and Lily defined #relationshipgoals during How I Met Your Mother. The two met in college and spend most of the series watching Ted…be Ted. While Marshall and Lily do breakup early on, this is only temporary and they get back together. Marshall and Lily and drama-free, and have a truly wholesome romance that you can’t but but root for.
4. Ben Wyatt and Leslie Knope (Parks & Recreation)
Ben Wyatt and Leslie Knope are fan faves for a reason. While the two didn’t start off as what could necessarily be considered fond of one another, this eventually develop feelings for one another. An unfortunate workplace rule that prohibits coworkers dating does cause issues for Ben and Leslie, but in time they are able to pursue their relationship and eventually get married and have triplets.
5. Jim and Pam (The Office)
There are few sitcom couples as iconic as Jim and Pam from The Office. Another friends to lovers dynamic, Pam and Jim finally get together after Pam breaks up with her awful boyfriend Roy. The series showcases a hilarious, tender partnership, one that fans still revere to this day.
6. Captain Holt and Kevin Cozner (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
Amy and Jake weren’t the only cute couple on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Captain Raymond Holt and his husband Dr. Kevin Cozner are a match made in sitcom Heaven. Essentially direct mirrors of one another, Kevin and Raymond’s hilariously proper demeanors are what make these two so funny to watch interact. While they do struggle and temporarily separate in the show’s final season, they do get back together and renew their vows in a ceremony that is romantic in the only way that makes sense for Kevin and Raymond. And that’s the point; no one will understand them they like they get each other.
