Denise Richards turned her youngest daughter’s 15th birthday into a tribute that pulled in three generations at once.
In an Instagram Reel posted May 24, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a montage of Eloise Joni Richards set to “HUNTR/X” from the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters. The caption was where it landed.
“Having a special needs child in a lot of ways gets more challenging with me worrying more about her future the older she gets,” Denise wrote. She then quoted her late mother, Joni Richards, who died of cancer in 2007: “a special needs child is an angel from God.”

Eloise, whose middle name honors that same grandmother, was adopted by Denise as a single mother in June 2011. She was diagnosed in 2016 with Monosomy 8p, a rare chromosomal disorder caused by a partial deletion on chromosome 8. Denise has said there’s no real roadmap for Eloise’s case. She’s primarily nonverbal but, by her mom’s account, deeply observant, even shutting down sibling squabbles with a single raised eyebrow.
Denise also gave a shoutout to Eloise’s older sisters Sami and Lola Sheen, her close friends, and her own father, who she called the best grandpa and father figure in Eloise’s life.
“Eloise is the biggest Angel with the biggest selfless heart,” Denise wrote. “I’m so proud of her strength and kindness.”
