Help Them Stay Hydrated
Drinking water is important for your body to function properly. It helps regulate your body temperature, prevent infections, keep organs functioning the way they’re supposed to, and helps keep your joints lubricated. Drinking enough water might not be on your teen’s list of priorities, so it’s up to you to motivate them to drink more water.
You can motivate them to drink more water by having good drinking water easily accessible. One way to help them find out what they’re most passionate about is to encourage them to try different hobbies. Hobbies can be anything from sports, writing, acting, painting, web design, and everything in between. Pay attention to how they act when they’re doing an activity. If they hate it, don’t force them to continue.
Suggest A Skin Care Routine
Now is a great time to encourage your teenager to develop a skincare routine. Your teen’s skin is going through a lot of changes, so it’s important they start taking care of it. They should start with a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer. Exfoliation should be done at least once a week. Acne treatment is necessary to keep acne away. You will also want to encourage them to wear sunscreen to protect their skin.
Everyone should make time to take care of themselves and do what makes them happy. Life is stressful no matter what age you are. Self-care is something every teen should focus on practicing to help reduce stress and to increase their overall mood.
