Self-Care Matters: Local Black Owned Business Teaching Stretching Techniques For Better Health – WCCB Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC–All month long, we continue in our coverage to honor and celebrate Black history. Today, we’re checking in with African American business owners that have been servicing the Charlotte area and helping people become their best self.

Co-owners of Kika Stretch Studi, Sheris Rice and Larry Rice believe that the best and most important love is self love. So, how fitting that it’s also Valentine’s Day? Here at  the Kika Stretch Studio, they hope to teach us how we all can practice taking better care of ourselves, one stretch at a time!

With the stress of everyday life and our countless to-do-lists, Larry Rice says it’s so important to prioritize our mental and physical health. Sheris Rice says she understands how hard it can be at times because she is a wife, mother and business owner. She believes when you give so much to others, you should give to yourself and practice self-care.
